A weekend spent in Des Moines with Boonie. Highlights included getting to see Tim at a Floodplane show in Ames on Friday, Boonie getting his chops cut off on Saturday, and lunch at the High Life on Sunday.

These photos were all taken with Russian-made Lomo Lubitel TLR medium format cameras. To appreciate the quality and definition of the medium format one must view them at original, or "full", size (check the upper right hand corner of the pages to change sizes). However, if you choose to view them as full size images, you should have a broadband connection.

Iowa City Jazz Festival, July 4-6, 2003

Acts included Geri Allen Trio (with Buster Williams and Lenny White), Don Byron, Charlie Hunter Quintet, Fred Anderson Trio, Ron Miles Quartet, and Andrew Hill Quartet.

A roadtrip in September 1999 that took me through Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and finally to Los Angeles.
